Stepping stones

These stones were made for retiring staff members.

This one was for a colleague who taught Gr. 1 for many years.  She was VERY into teaching her students about nature.  Every winter she took her class up to feed the mountain goats on the Salmo-Creston.  The students were enthralled by the size and beauty of them.  This stone was to remind her of one of the 'great adventures'.

These two were for colleagues who enjoyed gardening.  I know my photography could use some help, but I hope you enjoy these creations.  I am excited to take another course at the end of August on actual 'stained glass'.  My cutting skills will have to be honed, but I am looking forward to it:)

  1. Those are very pretty Sandy, especially love the Calla Lily one. Thanks for stopping by my blog today, the only reason that white on white card looks better in real life is because it was a bear to photograph! The picture didn't so it justice unfortunately!
